New look for an old bear

From this...

To this...

Now that the warmer weather is here, garage sales will be sprouting just like the flowers!! It's fun to look for items that can be given a new look, like this wooden bear. I used lovely patterned papers from Moxxie's "Forever Family" collection to cover the bear and to make the flowers. Check out the Speedy Scrappers blog to see full directions on creating her.

New projects to share

Today I have three cards and a Smash book page to share.

First up is a card I made for Gecko Galz. This month the design team is partnering with Day for Daisies, a digital stamp company. I used a mother and baby stamp, which I colored with chalks, added to a Gecko tag, and then layered it onto a card. The background paper is from Gecko Galz. The rest of the products are from my stash.

My next card uses papers and a bird image from Gecko Galz.

The third card features Crate Paper's "Party Day" collection. I made this card for Speedy Scrappers. I added three Moo cards across the bottom of the birthday card. Details on how I made the card are on the Speedy Scrappers blog.

My final project is a page in my Smash book. The challenge this month at Life in Details is "Firsts". My page is about my nephew, Liam, and his first day at the barber shop. Check out the LID blog; if you enter a page in a Smash type book, you may be the winner and get to be the guest designer next month!

Our Little Easter Bunny

This page features my great-niece, Aria. I used papers from KaiserCraft's "Tea Break" collection. The papers are feminine with lots of roses, perfect for a little girl with the middle name Rose!

I fussy cut the roses and leaves and then inked them with brown chalk ink. The flower bunches were die cut using coordinating papers from the Tea Break collection.

Teacups and Tiaras

Unruly Paper Arts does a Readers Art Quest (challenge) each month. April's challenge is "Teacups and Tiaras". You can play along with the Unruly DT!! Check it out at April Reader Art Quest.

My RAQ piece is a baby in a teacup. She is from a sheet of images at Altered Pages. I sized her in Photoshop, cut her out and then chalked her hair, dress and face. She is sitting in a teacup I purchased at Home Goods. I filled the cup with excelsior, flowers and then added wings and a tiara to the baby. The tiara is from a Jolee's sticker sheet.

My teacup baby was fun to make! Check out the other projects from the Unruly design team and the Altered Pages dt at the link above.

There is a great prize offered to this month's winner!!
